Real Good Chickpea Flour - 800g

Chickpea flour (also known as 'gram flour') is an excellent substitute for refined wheat flour. Not only does it act similarly during cooking, but it is lower in carbohydrates and calories and higher in protein and fiber compared to refined wheat. Studies indicate that it may have antioxidant properties. Chickpea flour is naturally gluten-free and therefore a great alternative for people with celiac disease, gluten intolerance or wheat allergy.

How to use: Chickpea flour is a versatile, gluten-free and high-protein flour used to make savoury flatbreads, thicken sauces and bind fritters or vegan patties. It acts as an agg substitute in vegan cooking and provides a nutty, earthy flavour to baked goods. It is best used in savoury dishes, but can work in cookies. Try replacing 30% of wheat flour in a cookie recipe with chickpea flour to boost the nutrient and protein contents of the cookiess, while maintaining a pleasant taste and appearance
